TheRenaissanceinthe16thcenturyusheredinthegoldenageofmodernmathematics.Withtheliberationofhumanthoughtandthedevelopmentofastronomy,physics,andnavigation,mathematicsfacednewdevelopmentdemands.Inthe17thcentury,Descartesfoundedanalyticgeometry,unifiedgeometryandalgebraforthefirsttime,andrealizedthetransformationfromgeometricfigureresearchtoalgebraicequationresearch,openingupanewfieldofmathematicalanalysis.Subsequently,NewtonandLeibnizindependentlyinventedcalculus,whichsolvedthecoremathematicalproblemsofvariablemotion,instantaneousvelocity,andcurvedareacalculationthatcouldnotbesolvedbyclassicalmathematics.Thebirthofcalculusmarkedtheentryofmathematicsintotheeraofvariablemathematicsfromtheeraofconstantmathematics,andgreatlyexpandedtheboundaryofmathematicalresearch.
